Help with Greddy turbo
Hello all. Any help would be appreciated. I have a Greddy turbo kit with intercooler. I believe the intercooler was an option so not originally purchased with kit. Anyhow, the problem is that I have been seeing about 10psi of boost when in throttle. It has an internal wastegate so I have no clue as to how to remedy the problem. Is there a way to turn the boost down??

Re: Help with Greddy turbo (reddohcvtec)
Is there a boost controller on the car. I am assuming so due to their turbos being set at 5.5psi. check for a boost controller and make sure that it isnt installed backwards.

Check the length of the rod. If minimal threads are showing, then someone has adjusted it to basically kick out the max that it can. You will need to pull the pin, loosen the lock nut, and then slide the shaft off. More threads showing = less boost. Less threads showing = more boost. Adjust accordingly and be careful. I hope you have tuned that setup. 10psi + no tuning will = death real quickly.

Re: Help with Greddy turbo (Hybrid93Eg)
Thanks. I think that someone may have messed with that. I noticed there was a nut on the rod but didnt want to mess with it cause I have no clue. There is no boost controller installed. just the emanage (piece of ****). The vaccum line was routed two different ways and still ended up with the same result. Do check valves make a difference? (I dont have any). Other than too much boost. The car and turbo are fine from what i can tell driving the car. I will try and adjust that rod on the wastegate. Thanks. If anyone has had any problem / solution similar please let me know. thanks.
