Default Turbo Q's

i got a greddy turbo kit for my 99 civic sir and i've got it mostly installed except for the piping now my intercooler isn't gonna be here for another 2 weeks would it be safe enough to drive it without the intercooler for 2 weeks or no? i know i should have it but it won't be boosting above 5 psi until the intercooler arrives.

another question is what is the easier way to increase the boost on my kit once my intercooler arrives? i've got greddy e-manage also incase that helps. would i just get a boost controller or is there another way? also if i increase the boost from 5 psi to 7 or 8 psi will i need to get greddy e-mange re-tuned?

its not mandatory to have an intercooler, but it would be a really good idea to hold off until it arrives. cooling is a huge part of boosting anything and if it gets too hot then there goes all your hard earned money and time. if i were you, i would just play it safe and dont drive it until you get your intercooler. heat is the enemy!

Yes if your tuned at 5 psi and than you raise it to 8 things arent gonna work out to well for you. Slap on your boost controller before you get it tuned and get it tuned on 5 and 8 psi think of it as a high and low boost setting. That way you can cruse around at 5 and also turn it up to 8 when you want and you'll be safe.

No, your car wont blow up. The IAT's should be very low at such low boost. Dont beat the **** out of it without the IC, but you can still drive it responsibly without worrying

yeah you'll need to retune the e-manage.

IMO I would get some other engine management.

I would recommend some type of other engine management then Greddy E-manage. Neptune is what I prefer. I wouldn't drive it without the intercooler JMO. Best of luck to you.
