Default Help. FPR won't let me adjust past 20 psi.

So my stupid worthless AEM FPR piece of garbage broke. And I decided to swap it out for an adjustable FPR I purchased from Viren (b18bturbo). It's the Aeromotive style, but it's made by a company, Turbo Specialties, or Turbo performance something or other.... (he said he was out of stock on aeromotive units, but had these just laying around, and assured me they were the exact same thing)

After installing it, I can't seem to get it to go over 20 psi.
If I loosen it all the way, it will drop to about 17.5, and if I tighten it all the way, it'll reach about 19.5
But adjusting it does hardly nothing.

There are no leaks, everything's hooked up right, so I'm assuming I'm just missing something, or the FPR is faulty.
Is it a possibility that I got sent an FPR for a carbuerated motor?

And another question, what is ideal idle fuel pressure with hondata & 550cc?

Any ideas?
Thanks.

sounds like an FPR for carburetors.

What kinda fittings are you using on the inlet and return? With regular AN fittings you have to shave them down some to clear the actual holes in the FPR or else they'll end up blocking them when you screw the fittings in. This is with the Aeromotive/SX/Paxton style FPR's.

hmm.. i'll look into that first thing tomorrow morning...

but wouldn't that raise my pressure? i would guess that with something blocking it it, that would be the idea...

I am indeed using regular AN fittings. So i'll find out tomorrow.
