HELP! 370 CC, too rich!
Got a problem, I installed injectors into my friends car. He has an S-AFC. I have it at -26% at idle and the thing is still running rich! Idle is at like 1000 RPM when its warm and when I rev up the engine, the idle goes up and drops to 800 RPM then it immediately goes back up to 1000 RPM
Can anyone in here give me their S-AFC #'s (at low and high throttle )to give me an "IDEA" so he can run it temporary for a week then get it on the DYNO? Thanks a bunch!!
Its a 97 GSR with a 2.5 inch catback & Custom turbo kit almost like a revhard or drag.. Thats about it. PLEASE HELP

Re: HELP! 370 CC, too rich! (BG Boost)
i turned mine down to -30% on 1-3k settings... on my fields.
my idle does something similar, but jumps up and down some... still working on it thought...
i turned the fuel pressure down to 38-42psi also..

if you don't care about easy adjustability, drilling a small hole in the return orifice of the stock FPR will lower the pressure. i had to do this on my prelude to get the pressure low enough to run 370s, and i'm also pulling fuel with controllers.

Damn, i'll tell him to buy a FPR. but for now, can someone lend him some Safc #'s

With 440s I have it set at -35% and idle fuel pressure is at 32 psi. Idles perfectly.
I have a VAFC btw, although I doubt it makes a difference

I set his at -35%, the idle is now perfect, 750 +- 50 RPMS.
I'm not sure if this is NORMAL but...when he lightly has his foot on the throttle, like 1-2%, the Rpm drops slightly then goes up. is this normal?

Also, this guy who knows a lot about cars, told me that to never go above -15% with 370 cc's or Bigger!
Told me to start at -35%@1k then go to -25%@8k for low throttle
And -35%@1K then goto -30%@8k for high throttle
Low-64%
High-65%
Then go for a drive and tune it by hearing the way the car sounds and also from a/f and/or agt gauge
