Having a problem with my Hondata s300
Ok. So I put the hondata in, turn the key to the ON position and the laptop recognizes the ecu. I uploaded a map and started the car up this afternoon. Car ran like crap, Solid CEL (on the dash), no sensor information and no MAP tracing. I called my dealer who was stumped.
Now I am wondering what is wrong. When I turn the car on and off the software recognizes the hardware change. And I can upload and download maps when the car is not running, but no real-time updates. UGH UGH UGH. Anyone, PLEASE HELP.
setup:
JDM b16a
89 CRX Si
Rywire harness
repinned dist.
o2 sensor hooked up.
Checked my wiring with a stock LS ecu and everything is fine, No CEL, idles fine, runs decent for an LS ecu. HELP!!!!

Is your alternator working? I've noticed recently with the colder winter weather, that occasionally the battery gets low enough in the voltage department, that the S300 will drop out when starting the engine, and give a dead ECU type of symptom. Check your battery voltage when the engine is cranking/running with the S300 hooked up.
if you have a solid CEL its a probelm with the solder job or ecu.... make sure you have the up to date software since hondata fucked everyone in the *** that got it when it came out and relased an unfinished piece of crap product....
