Greddy SOHC t-fitting
i have read alotta pple saying that mounting a brass T directly on the block in place of the stock oil pressure sender for gauges or turbo or watever is not a good idea because of the block vibrating and causing the T or block to crack
does the greddy kit say to mount the T directly on the block for the oil feed line? if so, have any people with this kit who have installed it this way experience any problems? i just wanna plan out whether i'm gonna need to run a line off of the oil pressure sender and then T it afterwards, or just wait for the kit and T right off the block. thanks

Re: Greddy SOHC t-fitting (Pengo)
i have installed it, no problem at all.... 7 months already
and my friends never had a problem
that part is the most PAIN in the ***, it's hard to get your eyes on it and hands at the same time... u need to FEEL it.. hehehehehe
because it's just a sensor, it's only some wires connecting it out
u need to rub off that rubber that cover the sensor, then i am not sure if u need a wrench, i forgot, check out http://www.turbocivic.net, he tells u everything
then just put some teflon tape around the T, T that into the block, one side for the sensor, one side for the oil feed line for turbo
i am not sure if this is the answer u want, but that's the bes ti can give u
good luck
it's very easy, the turbo install, trust me, all u need to worry is rusted bolts
and get a torque wrench for your oil pan bolts and ur exhaust manifold
but u won't be able to use a torque on some of the bolts for the exhaust manifold, u will need to FEEL it again
let us know how it goes

The T that comes with the kit works fine. As Xbird said, this part of the install is a pain in the ***. That's why you just need to take your time on it and do it right the first time. It's a good arm workout

Re: Greddy SOHC t-fitting (xbird)
yea i already got the stock sensor out when i installed my oil pressure gauge. right now i have just a 1/8 fitting running off the block to tubing that runs to the sender. i'll just put the T in front of this when i get the turbo
the rubber boot on the stock sender was a bitch to get off. took me like 30-45 minutes to get that damn thing off. i thought it was like stuck on or something. my friend with a gsr said it also took him really long to get off. to make matter worse, i didnt hae the right size wrench or deep socket so i had to use a big old adjustable wrench up there. things sure get heavy when ur under the car and holding ur arms up for so long
thanks for the help guys
