im not sure what colors they are, but if u look in the back of the gauge, there should be 2 different harnesses. one harness is for the lighting and power, the other is for the probe. the one with the 2 wire harness should be for the probe, the other 3 wire harness is for power and lighting. hope this helps, peace!

i appreciate your response, but that didn't help very much. i don't have the harnesses that you are talking about. i've got five wires from the gauge (red, orange, white, black, and yellow) and there are two wires coming from the probe (one has kind of a red line on it, and the other wire doesn't have any color on it) do you know which of two wires from the gauge needs to be hooked up to the probe wires? if i just know those, i'm sure i can figure everything else out for myself. thanks!

well is your gauge a 52mm or 60mm?

I just checked mine and mine has 2 different harnesses. mine is a 52mm.

it looks like your missing something... ..usually there's a plug at the end of the egt probe..it plugs into a harness that plugs into the gauge..maybe that's an older one i've never seen before..but usually greddy gauges are very easy to figure out..

maybe i should buy a new probe with all the wiring from greddy...maybe that will make it easier. one of the things that i just noticed is that the gauge starts a 400c. the new ones that i've seen advertised start at 300c. maybe this is an older one? i'm going to test it today and see what the deal is...thanks for you help.

The first two are obvious:
Red = switched 12v
black = ground

Now take a better picture of the back of the gauge! Is there a plug port for the sensor? Also what are the colors of the sensor wires.

Normally white = lights so that will leave you with yellow and orange wires for the sensor's inputs if there isn't a plug port at the bottom of the gauge.

red = constant power (+)
yellow = switched ignition (+)
white = backlight (+)
black = ground (-)

those 4 wires are the power wires. there should be two connectors on the back of the gauge. one of the connectors will have the 4 wires mentioned above. the other connector will plug into the probe.

Non-peak hold meters do not get a 12v constant wire since they do not have a memory function. There seems to be a plug port at the bottom of the gauge.

I did a little research and the 5 main wires for peak/hold and non-peak/hold meters are the same.

red = 12v switched
white = lights
black = ground
orange = 12v constant
yellow = optional warning light

So the sensor most likely plugs into the port on the bottom of the gauge.
