Is this a good set up for around 260 270hp on a B16A2?
Is this a good set up for around 260 270hp on a B16A2?
T3/T4e Turbo
Tubular Log manifold
2.5 down pipe
De-cat
Apexi air filter
28x6x2.75 intercooler
tial 38mm wastegate with 1bar spring
RC550cc injectors
3 bar map sensor
wide band kit
Hondata s200 with boost (obviously)
255 fuel pump
uprated knock sensor
Greddy RS STYLE low off valve
Braided oil feed/return lines
Fuel Regulator
Does anyone know what sort of spec T3/T4 turbo would give me quick spool and hard pulling until the red line with minimal lag?
I saw this one but not sure if there wil be lots of lag with it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
Can any one point me in the right direction as to what spec might be best?
The help is much appreciated
Thanks
Chris

Yeah that setup will do it easily. Just me but I'd be careful ordering those cheap Ebay turbos. I had trouble with one. Stick to garett or precision turbos IMO.
12psi on basically the same setup I made 273whp on a dynapak

is there anywhere that i can get a turbo that is of a good price without breaking the bank? i have been trying to find somewhere but havent had much luck.
Would a turbo with a 50AR 57AR give me good all round, with early spool, min lag and reasonable mid and high end performance?
Thanks

yeah, out of all the things in your system the turbo should be the thing you don't want to skimp on. BUt the set up seems like it should get you where you want to be.

Well its no different than rebuilding your own turbo - numerous people do it. ITs backed by a warranty and everything.
True, i'd rather get a new turbo - but i'm sure its better than buying an xs power turbo.

There are so many variations available, can anyone point me in the right direction as the spec i should be looking at? Im after a quick spooling with min lag, and can produce resonable mid range and top end power? i have been searchinh and reading but cant seem to work out what will give me the results im after?
Al i have worked out is that a smaller ar will give me good spool with min lad, and larger ar will give me more high end power but not as quick spool and more lag.
Im confused

hmm...maybe this COULD help...try going with a 3inch downpipe (and 3inch exhaust if u can or maybe an ecutout ) and go with 2.24inch charge pipes. that could help your spool time
for a turbo, if you don't want to spend too much, you could possibly look into a t3 super 60. or get a t3/to4e with a .48a/r
look in the classfieds, there's always turbos f/s there.

I cant belive they want $400 for that xspower/ss auto turbo..
You can get rebuilt garrett/turbonetics t3/t4b for around $350,,and t3/t4e for around $400..Westcoast turbo used to be the place to get them but I dont know what happend with that place..
