Default garrett t3 turbo question.....

Hey guys, i just got a garrett t3 turbo from a friend of mine, and i just have a few questions about the trubo it's slef.
1. While the turbo was on the Sabb it had an internal wastegate, when the internal WG was taken off there is a arm that hooked on the WG that moved back and forth to open and close it, and attached to arm inside the housing is a little "flapper" inside the ehxaust housing that opens up to let the unwanted exhaust into the WG. So what should I do about the "flapper" that opens inside the housing? It does not look like the flapper can or would come off. Im not sure what I should do about it.

2. Im not sure but I think that this turbo is set up to be water cooled as well as oil cooled, not sure tho, I was asking because there are 2 holes on the opposite side of eachother right beside the oil inlet/outlet not sure about this... any help would be appreciated
thanks everyone

Yes the turbo is water cooled. You don't have to use the water section if you don't want to.

Not sure how you can disable the flapper, but I know it can be done.

Either weld the flapper closed, or make a bracket that holds the hinge closed
