Garrett T03/t04e .60/.63 - comparable precision?
Hey guys, I think I have settled on the turbo: a Garrett t03/t04e .60/.63... the only thing is that I have heard a whole lot out of you guys when it comes to Precision Turbo. I'm running a stock B16A. Is there a comparable Precision turbo to the Garrett? If so, which one is it, and will my stock B16A spool it fairly quickly?

bump..good question! i'm sure many would like to know...i'm gonna say probably the precision SC32 b/c its good for 480 crank hp. the garret/turbonetics t304e .60/.63 is roughly good for about 500crank hp. so i'd say this is probably the most comparable. by no means am i for sure right, this is just my guess.

I need a rolleyes smiley.
What Precision SC would spool as quickly as the .60/.63 Garrett t03/04e, and why would I spend the extra money for the precision anyway?

The sc32 is gonna be 54 trim turbo, I would say the sc34 57 trim(what im running) would be more comparable. Someone correct me if im wrong, art, chris?

that information only tells us what housings you will be running. You must specify which compressor wheel and exhaust wheel you want to run. Precision turbos use Garret wheels and they make their own housings. They also use a 360degree thrust bearing vs. the standard garret 270.

yea direp and artturbo are the precision masters. thanks for the info about the 360 thrust bearing chris, i thought it was just the standard 270, now i feel cooler ....
i personally use the sc32 but in a .60 hotside and .63 a/r, id say thats comparable

the precision "equivelant" to that is the SC44. T3/T04e 60 trim w/ T31 exhaust wheel. The T31 is basically a stage 3 wheel but just a lil larger and the exhaust housing has a 2.5" discharge rather then a 2.25"
