New dyno with Cheapturbodotcom Garrett 66-1 and Full Race manifold
Like I have promised Cheapturbodotcom when I purschased their Garrett 66-1 turbo which pushes 70lbs per minute. I finally got around and slap the turbo on and brought it to the dyno. This was a dyno with c16 pushing 27-28psi. Unfortunately I couldn't push the turbo to its full potential due to the 28 psi limiting factor of Hondata. The dynos were done at Balance Performance by Ed who often writes articles for Grassroot Motorsports magazine. We tuned at 12.1 A/F ratio. Sorry the dyno graph is not perfect. This was a stock Honda distributor. Since we have reached the limit of Hondata, I am trying to determine which stand alone Fuel management to get. The AEM is out of the question. Ed have suggested either the Wolf 3d or the Electromotive tec3...If anyone have any suggestions and experiences a great fuel management system, feel free to do so.
This was my old dyno and were done about 3 months ago

Great job again, still same injectors as last time? DFI would be a good system to look into, its affordable and will open the door for you to go for bigger numbers
nice dyno...wonder what it would do with a stage 5 exhaust instead 3 with that huge compressor wheel.
what about autronic engine managment...i dont have any personal experience with it, but ive never heard anyone complain about it...and also, ive not heard anyone mention this anywhere yet, but FJO offers a stand alone now...i dont know anything about it but it might be worth checking into.

why? the owner of autronic used to work or was part owner of motec (or something along those lines)...the autronic systems are just as good as motec, but just costs less

yes, the autronic is a very good computer. but i have run both and i honestly can say that the motec is better.
one thing i really don't like about the autronic is how it requires you to run their seperate wideband 02, which runs $1500 for their model A and $2500 for their model B.
another thing i don't like is the autronic mode flag system. while with enough common sense and the instruction manual in front of you it is manageable, the mode flag system isn't very intuitive.
there's other things too, but that goes beyond the scope of this thread. don't get me wrong, the autronic is a good computer, but to say it's just as good as a motec isn't totally true, and the price reflects so.
also, the price range of the motec isn't totally unattainable. in fact, i have a brand new m4pro for sale, $1800 ecu only, installation/tuning not included.

agreed!
agreed!
The comments about Autronic are true. Lets not forget that the Motec has it's high priced options. Data logging cost extra, the wideband is extra, and it doesn't have windows software. To make the M4 clubman a "Pro" unit costs over 1000.00.

looks nice, whats up w/some pics of the manifold..
im just curious as to why you already ruled out the aem ems? let me know what kind of timing your already running and i could build you a map in about 20 mins that would run the car great and take about 5 pulls to get perfect. not to mention boost control and traction control.
i have used the ems and a tec2.. didnt like the tec2 at all.

If it is then that thing must be hard to control! Almost 600 at the wheels in a FWD Honda will tend to get stupid whenever you tap the gas pedal!!
That kicks ***...gonna be giving a lot of people in fast cars hear attacks!
