Sure, at $10 a gallon. At that price, you're getting into "just start with a better motor" territory.

 

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned/asked yet, but what is the purpose of the car?

If it's a fun dd/toy/weekend car, then 350-400 is about all you'll need.

If it's a track/drag car, then carry on.

 

Yea pretty much just a fun toy. Its been a long time in the making. The car has under gone several face lifts. What I do this time will be the last time for anything(with the exception of stuff that breaks). It prob wont see the track all that much but maybe a few times a year. 350-400 is prob more than enough BUT if I'm goping to build it I only want to build it once. So if I build it big enough the first time I won't have to worry about it down the road.

 

That horsepower range can be done on 93 octane, I really wouldn't worry about any other fuel.
