3.Cause 600 hp is useless on the street, especially when there's only 215 ft lbs of torque

I really get sick and tired of seeing all this full-race jocking on this site(Powercenter7)....Sorry I'm not on the bandwagon.....And it's pretty gay that when I give the guy feedback, I get a whole bunch of the thumbsdown. He obviously wanted something, he posted it on honda-tech.

PS:If you want my feedback on your enterprise, you guys who sell OVERPRICED OVERHYPED METAL. AND IT'S UNFORTUNATE THAT PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY CONNED IN TO PURCHASING THIS STUFF. AND HALF OF YOUR EMPLOYEES AND WORSHIPERS ARE MEMBERS OF THE KEYBOARD TUNER/MECHANICS CLUB

How is he bein a smartass? u came on and said u dont like it, the runners are to short and u might lose some top end. Whether feed back is good or bad hes still takin comments about this product that can help make it even better. So instead of Geoff sayin something sarcastic or smart, hes askin u to back up why u think it wont work and what u think will be better. Show some proof of why ur way would work over full races to back up ur claim of sayin hes mani will lost low end

What's up with all of the full-race bashing around here. It is hardly full-hype. Thier stuff works, TRACK numbers speak for themselves. 2 of the 4 fastest streetcars run full-race kits and many of the fastest pro 4 cylinder/hot rod cars are using their products. Just because you can't afford/won't pay their price for their products is not a reason to go around bashing them. I'm just sick of every full-race thread lately with a bunch of negative comments towards their stuff...not necessary. Happy holidays yalls

All I did was state common knowledge. For a street/strip car, a t4 turbo, equal length manifold, short runnered intake mani and 600 horses are useless. Maybe full race is great for all out race cars, but most ppl on here don't drive racecars..Ya the ones w/ roll cages and parachutes..

And to answer your question, probobly something like 6-6.5..they should around 8 if my first guess was right. Like I said, I'm no mechanical engineer or internet super tuner...but short runners means high hp, low torque.

A perfect example is the IM on an SR20DET. My friends makes more torque than he does. Only 8 or 9 more on the dyno..but still. That intake manifold has runners that are super super long, and curve sharply. I don't think it's a coincedence that his power drops off at high rpm either. Doesn't pull like a honda motor straight to redline.

you are actually close on what a good runner length is.

just so you dont go on thinking our runners are short, they are much longer than you think.

Exactly. If you want to tell Geoff how much you love him or hate him, then call him up. Im tired of reading about it here.

So about that intake manifold...

why does the plenum shorten down ..the area for the first cylinder appears to be about 1/3 smaller in width than the fourth. couldn't this cause inequal distribution of air?

These are just questions, not trying to be a smart ***

No, that area only needs to feed one cylinder, where all the air for four cylinders has to pass by the other end.

we designed the plenum using CFD (it stands for computational fluid dynamics, it is engineering software, please dont flame me for doing analysis)

the shape of the plenum encourages equal air distribution. Unfortunately, when using a design like this (air enters at one end rather than in the middle) it is very difficult to make perfectly equal air distribution. The design of the plenum simply makes it so that you can get as close as possible to an equal distribution without having an inordinate pressure drop

I would like to know if you all have an expected release date? I would like to get one for my B18b but I also dont want to sell my current intake manifold and have the intake manifold being the only thing holding me back from finishing.

We are coming up with a few options regarding ordering. We plan on having these fully available by the end of march, the final verisons will not have as much welding on them, and will be much cleaner.

I will keep everyone posted with the progress, but for now, please be patient. sorry to keep teasing you guys, the result will be worth the wait!

Thanks Geoff. I will be getting one when they are released. If everything goes as planned I will finish everything before the manifold is released. Would be nice if I could show what kind of gains can be had over my current intake manifold.
