Fuel questions about my problem.. all pertinant info inside
IAC check engine light...
I have:
370cc injectors
Holly intank pump 255
airtex inline booster pump
stock ignition retarded a couple degrees
Vortec fmu w/ 8-1 disc
vortec fpr adjusted almost down the whole way
Fields turned -30% for 1-3000 rpm levels and +-0 on the rest
** I was told that i might have to take the intank holly out and stick the stock back in, that the holly by itself cant keep up..but with a booster pump puts out too much.. that the stock and booster pump would be better. **
possible?
list of things to check..
1. FMU - (not checked yet)
2. Fuel pressure - need the fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail to be done soon 9 (not checked yet)
3. feul pressure regulator - checked good
4. vacume leak - none vacume at -20
other things to check?

Well, we were getting a CEL code 14, which is the IAC valve.
We replaced that, and are still getting the code. Also replaced the throttle body sensor.
Thinking it has to do with fuel now that we eliminated those other things...
What do you think Dustin?

Re: Fuel questions about my problem.. all pertinant info inside (dustin)
IAC is idle air control. It has nothing to do with fuel.
seems kind of odd that i would have two bad sensors...
hmmm... wonder how much those things are at the dealer or ??
