Default Bad inline fuel pump?

I replaced my FMU thinking it was not working because of maybe a faulty one from the factory, but now I'm questioning the inline fuel pump. It made my fuel pressure higher than normal at idle. 42psi to 60psi with FMU installed. After a day of driving, all of a sudden fuel pressure dropped to stock. So I was a little excited, even though I shouldn't be because what if it just decides to drop to 30psi for example. Sure sh%&. I'm driving and it keeps going from 32 - 38psi. And when i accelerate over 30% throttle or so, it drops about 5psi from wherever fuel pressure is at. I'm thinking I have a faulty Inline fuel pump that's acting like a brick wall not allowing fuel through it cause its not working. Keep in mind that it will no longer increase fuel when boost kicks in. It used to for a little bit, but only reached 80psi max around 5psi.

ideas?

ps-I would have disconnected the fuel pump and rerouted the lines like it was stock, but I didnt have time last nite. I'm just bored at work and want a heads up before i try that.

Could also be a clogged fuel filter.
