Default Fuel pump ?s.....greddy blue box?s

Does the blue box adjust fuel like a FMU would? If not, how does it dump more fuel into the motor? I'm currently looking at an intank walbro high pressure for boosting 8psi on a greddy kit (d16z6). Down the road I may go FMU when I decide I want to boost more so I'll consider an inline pump then. But as far as preference, it really doesn't matter...... I'll get the pump that works out better.

So, with 8psi on a greddy civic kit, would a walbro 255 high pressure be fine....or inline? BTW I have done a search on this and it helped a lot. I just couldn't find anything specific with the blue box. Thanks.

the blue box adds fuel by sensing boost using the factory map sensor and increasing the injector pulsewidth accordingly. it also sends a fake map signal to the stock ecu so you won't throw any codes. it works fairly well until you try to boost too much and melt a piston, like i did.

as far as the fuel pumps go, you only need a high pressure pump if you are planning to go the RRR/FMU type setup. if you are planning on larger injectors, the you only need a high-flow pump, and, of course, something to tune the injectors.
i would be wary of running high fuel pressures to meet fuel requirements, but it does the job.

what are the wiring differences with using the blue box on the 96+ civic ex's. I heard there are some but i cant' remember where i got the info from. Or is it just better to use a missing link with a FMU

I'd use the blue box before an FMU for 8psi and under..

Check out http://www.turbocivic.net
He has the diagrams for wiring up the blue box for 96+ civics.

Let me know if you need the blue box. I have a brand new unused one working as a paper weight right now.
