Default Can you ditch the greddy BLUE BOX and purchase a FMU?

well since people been telling me that the blue box is crap.. I was thinking can you just ditch the blue box and purchase a vortech FMU .. ? if you can what else you need with the vortech fmu ?

Blue box works fine, it's the older black box that got the bad reputation. The Blue box is the simplest way to boost if you keep it relativley mild (6-7psi). If you intend on pushing double digit boost levels though, you'll want to replace it with a better fuel supply system (blue box is only good till about 8psi anyways).

To answer your question - yes you can. There's nothing else you'd need except a high flow pump.

nd check valves or a "missing link" for your MAP sensor, i am in the procces of getting rid of the box cause i have a 97 ex w/ the 5th gen kit

Make sure you are aware of the dangers of an FMU. It will supply additional fuel up to a point but as it raises the pressure it reduces the fuel the pump can flow. Raising the fuel pressure from 35-75 psi drops the stock pump's HP capability from 400 to 200 crank HP.
