Fuel lines.......
I've searched, but I wanted to get a more precise and applicable answer to my specific issue. Here's the situation. I plan to replace my fuel filter with a cartridge style one -
However, in order to plumb it, I'll need appropriate fittings and hardware. I can figure that out myself, but what I wanted to ask was what size fuel line is appropriate? Currently my fuel system is stock - 93 del Sol Si D16Z6 OEM in-tank fuel pump running stock 99 Civic Si B16A2 OEM injectors, etc. What size is too big for this application? Secondly, I am looking to see how big I would need to go fo accommodate between 250 and 300 whp (FI), with larger injectors and the necessary pump and FPR hardware.
I initially planned on replacing the hard lines that run to the stock fuel filter with braided stainless lines as I've seen on here (Arturbo and others). Should I go with larger fuel lines from the firewall to the filter and then to the fuel rail, or stick with stock sized? Or would it be better to get a fuel pump and FPR along with larger lines to adjust the fuel pressure as necessary?
Thanks in advance!
Steve

I have AN6 lines in the restictive parts of my fuel system. i.e. backflow preventer on the rail, rail to return line, and pump to hard line at tank. I see very good flow with my Walbro 255. So good, that when the tank is near empty I can hear the fuel spraying the bottom of the tank at the return.
As for what size supports what HP, I have seen the stock size support injectors to 720cc. Which could be some mad HP.

Thanks, I didn't think that the stock lines would cause any problems except possibly elevating the fuel pressure. My concern is more getting lines that are too big for the stock pump when I change over from the stock fuel filter to the cartridge filter above. So AN6 sized lines to and from the fuel filter and (stock) fuel rail would be ok with the stock pump?
Thanks!
Steve
Thanks!

stock lines should be fine as it is..
if you are having trouble finding parts as far as fittings for the filter, let me know, I can help you get it. I didn't earn my title for nothing, I pretty much memorize all ASE, Metric, JIC threads LOl ;P

i found an earls fitting that fit the stock banjo fitting on top of the filter till i get my mallory. or equivelant (sp?) but #6 was enough to put most buicks in the low 11's. i had to remove my cruise to put my reg here but you can see most of my set-up.

Why do most people mount there Aeromotive away from the Fuel Rail. I just mounted mine directly to the AEM fuel rail and ran a stainless steel return line.
it seems to me that it's kinda big and bulky/heavy to sit on the end of the fuel rail, plus my friends all have their's with guages right off of it so it gets cluttered.

I ran mine off of the fuel rail and it's fine...just make a little bracket from the FPR to anywhere in the block/head and you'll be fine

the rail is bolted down and its not going to go anywhere with the regulator mounted off the end..the aeromotive regulator isnt that heavy anyways
after the rail is bolted down just take your hand and try to move the end of the rail..its shouldnt really move at all

its the 4 puck clutch i have i am worried about. it is still alot of weight just hanging there. my luck, id break the fuel rail and burn the car to the ground.
