Default fuel issues ?¿

ok here is my setup: d16y7 (w/ 8k miles) d15b7 manifold, 310& stock injectors, greddy turbo kit w/ 12:1 FMU ( ). i just installed the engine last week and have been having problems ever since. this turbo setup ran great on my last engine, then i broke off a ringland as a result of runnin 10 lbs of boost and decided to go with a stronger engine. i cannot get it to run right for the life of me now. i hooked up the turbo and the fmu the way its supposed to be. went for a ride and as soon as i hit boost it sputters and bucks, and my A/F guage read lean. so i didnt boost and more. i figured it might be injectors and swaped them out for another set i had (obd2 civic)lying around and it didnt work,so for the hell of it i put 310's in and for some reason it ran like 10xs better. but in eather situation it "pops" when it idles out of the exhaust, and i got a little bit of fluxuation with the idle. but its not consistant. and at partial throttle i get a good bit of hesistation, and at WOT in falls on its face then picks up.
is this a bad fmu if so is there any way to check it ? maybe a bad fuel pump ?

i really need my car for school and i am totally stumped. by the way i am running the stock 95dx ecu, as i was told there shouldn't be an issues with it. but maybe since the ecu is for a 1.5 not a 1.6 it might be running things a leaner. Any sort of input would really help!!
Thanks,
Justin

1. you didnt crank a ring on the last setup from too much boost, detonation killed it. thats what happens when you have a hack fuel system like you are describing.

2. your bucking, popping, etc.. is a result of your hack fuel system.

yes it is a very bad fuel map. do you know how much boost you are running? before you **** that motor i suggest paying someone to just tune it with uberdata.

after re reading everything you have written there are just too many things wrong. a) shitty fuel management b) bigger injectors without tune c) ecu froma completely different motor d)u were most definetly detonating when you lean out and go into boost. just dont drive your car, save some cash and take it to a shop.

ok i put the stock injectors back in, when i do that it runs horrible. im running 5 lbs of boost with the greddy kit. an fmu should work ok on it since it has before. the reason why my last engine blew up was because of running 10 lbs of boost on a 12:1 fmu. we all know thats not going to work including my self now, i learned the hard way.

i checked my timing with the 310's in and it was retarded a good bit, then i set it and that eliminated the poping at idle. now that i have stock injectors in do i need to retime it ? i checked the plugs by boosting to redline then i shut it off and coasted to the side of the road and pulled them. they look good not a lot of carbon and they are not white at all??

have you checked your fuel pressure? its odd that the "popping" at idle was fixed by retarding the timing. have you verified that your cam timing is on?

Find out what your fuel pressure is cruising around and under boost first. It sounds like it is just going mad lean.
