FMIC any one recognize these?
Does any one know if these are like the streetimport or JR intercoolers? The second one down is bar and plate. Plus htese guys are like 10 mins from my house.

Xo2. I have one, it's very cheap, and it meets the specs, why pay more? I'm sure it's more macho to buy a spearco core and have someone weld you end tanks and come out $1000 lighter on your wallet, but what really matters is:
1.) It has internal fins that seem to be thought out (or well copied/stolen from someone else)
2.) It seems robust, but is reasonably thin to promote good heat transfer
3.) welds aren't all that bad, at least on mine.
4.) it doesn't leak when I pressurized it on the bench at 4 bar.
Go for it, I'd rather spend $500 more on the turbo than the intercooler. A more expensive intercooler of the same size and design won't make you more power if the cheap one works just as well.
Unfortunately, the domestic market won't be able to compete on simple products like this that can be made reasonably well overseas. Chinese turbos, however, are a different story...
