Default FIC 900 Woes...

Whats up guys

I have an LSV in a 96 Civic Sedan. As of right now, I have some nice bolt ons - nothing crazy.

I'm looking to boost this car by the end of March. I already have the proper exhaust manifold/downpipe/turbo/MAP Sensor/FMIC/Charge pipes/WG. I do have a BOV as well but will probably change it.

Anyway - I have a set of FIC 900s that I had tried to use on a different swap. They didn't respond well to Crome when I tried them before - but I was having Crome issues as well. Those issues have since been resolved.

I ALSO have a resistor box from another swap that I sold.

Would I be better served trying the 900s I have again, or would I be better served grabbing some PTE 880s online?

Are these Fuel Injector Clinic 900cc injectors?
Just want to make sure, and if so I'll be happy to run through some troubleshooting with you. These injectors are VERY stable and should be easy to tune so it sounds like something is out of the norm, but we'll get you all straightened out so no worries. They're a much newer technology than any low impedance injector and the results should be very good with them.
Feel free to give us a call at (561) 427-0082.

Yes sir - grabbed them some time ago from extremepsi.

That's what I figured - I definitely want to try/run them. The no resistor factor and affordability is what drew me to them.

I appreciate your response - will be in touch for sure...I'll be using these on a couple more cars if I can get them to work properly!

Thx!

Bought them new - got them started, then took the whole setup out and went a different route (f23 turbo setup was removed for an LSV)

I want them in my LSV now before I boost.

Yeah, something is off, you shouldn't have any issue getting these to run like stock. Give us a call when you can and we can go over your setup to see if we can pinpoint anything that might be causing the issue.

Are you using a resistor box with these high impedance injectors?
What values are you using for the Injector battery offset?

He shouldn't be using any resistor box with high impedance injectors. That's the point of resistor boxes, to change the ohms resistance of low impedence injectors to work with High impedance systems.

This car underwent a block swap recently. Just yesterday - finished up the front end suspension (front upper and lower arms, shocks, coilovers and new axles)

Once I find my basemap I hope these fire right up.

The OP mentioned something about a resistor box which is why I asked. Always start at the basics when troubleshooting. Don't assume people know the obvious.

What does "to change the ohms resistance of the impedance" mean anyway?

Will do. I'm sure these injectors can handle the power level I'm looking for as well.

Crome isnt the issue if the injectors are in 100% working condition. I have several cars running FIC 900cc on Crome with zero issues. You wouldnt even know these cars had bigger injectors

Idled great yesterday. Was chasing down all the little things (oil leaks, thermostat acting up) so I didn't get to drive it but they worked.

Will report back to how they like 10psi from t3/t4 turbo next time I get it up and running.

Like I said I'm not going for huge numbers. Just Enough to scare me and the passenger a little

Thanks so far guys.

Glad to hear you have the car idling well on our 900cc injectors now.
Do you have any idea what the issue was?

Bottom end took a sh*t. Once I get a breather inline and enough clamps for ic pipes (damn dogs lol) I hope these injectors get me running nice on 10psi ls vtec. Only looking for 350 horse now (just acquired a b18b1 for free)
