External Wastegates & Boost Controllers, Question
sorry for a newbish question, but if i buy an external wastegate, is there anything special i will need in order to hook up my TurboXS manual boost controller to it? i didnt see a nipple on the wastegate for a hook-up, i thought maybe it came witht he solenoid?
i just want to be sure, so i dont order a wastegate, and find out i cant use my boost controller on it, and YES it is an Ebay wastegate, i figured i would toy with it until it broke and invest in a better one, im just on a tight budget right now.
thanks

use intake manifold for vacuum source
IM -> boost controller -> side port of wastegate. post pics of it, you probably need to buy a fitting. take it apart to make sure all surface is smooth. if you screw that fitting too far it might puncture diaphragm and overboost. any leaks from wastegate will result in overboost. you want a good wastegate setup to prevent boost creep. sell your boost controller and get a better wastegate.

thanks</TD></TR></TABLE>no, you run it IN LINE with the vac line from your IM to the WG. there is no extra port for an mbc

Re: External Wastegates & Boost Controllers, Question (ryan89crx)
Ok lets clear this up
I run a Vaccum Line From the Top of the wastegate To my IM, and place my Boost controller IN-line with that? Cant i put it in Line with my BOV vaccum line as well, it came with 2 3 way splitters. because that vac line runs too the IM as well doesnt it?
and where on the IM should i run the BOV, Wastegate, Controller lines too? And say i wanted to use the stock setting on the wastegate, would i just run the vac lines with no controller in-line, or can i leave the lines open to the atmosphere?
