EXPERT OPINION-HKS T25G Boost Kit-Honda Civic Si
hello, gurus:
I need some definitive answers on the following questions, thanks.
My tuner was dyno tuning my car. He told me that my boost CAN NOT HOLD and it DROPS OFF too rapidly. He mentioned about boost spike and boost creep. He told me that it MAY BE due to my HKS EVC V boost controller, my boost soleniod, my internal wastegate or the turbo-charger itself. He DOES NOT WANT to divulge much as the engine IS NOT PREPARED BY HIM-kind of rivalry between workshops stuff.
CAN someone help me? What EXACTLY is the CAUSE? We are boosting like 0.86, then we raise it UP to 1.06. He changed the gaing on the boost controller, but to no avail, then he gave UP. I read that it is LIKELY to be the INTERNAL WASTEGATE which is operated by an actuator.
Here is my setup:
HKS 2.6mm turbo gasket
Port & Polish
HKS cast iron turbo exhaust manifold
ARC blow off valve
HKS Type S intercooler
HKS Turbo Kit
Apexi GT aluminium radiator
HKS Super Power Flow air filter
Thermal Research 3" exhaust system
Apexi Power FC-which HAS a limitation of ONLY boosting upto 12PSI, BUT my EVC Boost Controller SHOWS HIGHER THAN THAT though.
Please HELP.
