Re: (bigwig)
I'm not saying that if you keep going bigger you will keep gaining. I think 3" will work better than 2.5". Sure 2.5" will work fine but if your buying an exhaust why not just get the 3" to begin with instead of wishing you did later on. So you have a dyno sheet that shows 2.5" making more power and spooling faster than 3"?? I have also seen dyno charts where they upgrad to 3" and don't gain anything.. That is at low boost. Sooner or later EVERYONE wants more.. more hp and more boost.
You don't say oh.. I only wanna run 6psi and make 225hp so I'm gonna get a turbo that will support that much and nothing more.. No.. you buy one with room to grow knowing your going to upgrade. I know for a fact that my car is much faster and better driving with 3" over the 2.5" I had.

Does PSI really matter? I think whats more important is the amount of hp you want and that will determine what diamter you want to run. What happens if someone with a B18C1 JRSC wanted to get an exhaust? They can be making like 240-250 whp on a 8 psi pulley. Basically Im saying exhaust diameter depends on how much horsepower you want. There is a guy with a JRSC ITR with 10psi pulley and running a 3 exhaust and he is making more power from it.

no exhaust.
many ppl are complaining about cutouts leaking. All the major brands have been tested by many ppl on here: QTEC, McCord, DMH. But I havent heard too much about the DMH ones yet too much yet.

what kinda power were you putting out before it and boost levels, cuz i can tell you now i lost power at low levels, there are a few people on here that were at the dyno that day that can attest . idid before/after and then another one with it back on to see the diff. it was plain as day , it was like 10-15whp lost.

I have a 2.25 in down pipe and a 3" high flow cat and 3" thermal cat back sounds deep and turbo spools pretty quick hits 8psi at around 3500. I plan to upgrade the DP to 3" when i do some more mods and run more boost but 2.25 is good for now. Hope this helps.
PS i got the 3" cat back for $600 just make sure u order the "turbo" thermal exhaust not the regular because the guy the ordered mine made that mistake and it cost me a week in down time

you lost 10-15whp??????????? over all or just durring lag??? I have my sheets somewhere, but i know that it was 220 whp with it closed and 260 with it opened at 6 psi. 14.1 closed and 13.4 @ 105 opened. what DP and Exhaust are you using and what boost?

mine use to leak, but all you have to do is put some rtv on it and the leak disappears.
