Default Engine Management

Have a D17a wanna go turbo. As the topic says anyone have any suggestions on an ems. The aem is too much money, Hondata offers Kpro but hear you can convert or something or other. Can systems like crome that are free be used to tune my car, I know Crome is a free program that can be had over the internet minus the cost of pocket programmer turbo edit, etc, etc. Any suggestions?

The selection on EMS should be based on what your tuner recommends.

The free version of Crome is very limited in tuning capabilities. CromePro isn't free, but can do alot.

I would go with what your tuner is comfortable with. If your tuner doesn't care, K-pro is a good system.

d17a = obd2
so you're either stuck with a piggyback or going full standalone.
obd2 ecu's that honda uses arent tuneable

crome is pretty user friendly assuming you have some grasp of tuning a car.
its pretty much a more organized version of uberdata

just download the free version and play around with the software on your pc... it should give you a pretty good idea of what pro is

you really dont want to try tuning if you dont have a clue.
there is no trial and error with tuning... trial and error destroys motors

and you have to have a chipped ecu and a romburner to use crome.. or an emulator
