Default EGT advice needed

I think that I'll be looking for an Exhaust G*** Temperature Gauge in the near future, and I would like to know of a high quality unit that wont necessarily break the bank.
It's nice to see what the A/F ratio is, but I have now realized why someone once said that an EGT is far more important than the A/F meter.

PS - I did do a search on this first.

Most people hate on the autometer unit, but i like mine and it seems to work well.

Thanks for the input...I spoke with John at HyTech and all that he wanted me to do is to purchase a high quality unit, but was too busy to give me specifics other than some very expensive options that I don't care to remember.

i really like the 60mm greddy EGT gauge. It has peak/hold fuctions and is very easy to read. Its very acurite and works very well. I highly recommend it.

IMHO you broke the bank getting a header from John.
Get a killer EGT as well.

Austin, why don't you just get the greddy EGT gauge to match your A/F meter?

It's the age old question of Form vs. Function...I'm more of a function person, if someone tells me that it's one of the best on the market, and it's not outrageously priced then I'll get it...hence the HyTech header.
