Default boost gauge

when the gauge is not hooked up and the needle is not at 0 is it broken?

my money is that this is an autometer gauge. i need to see if they will warranty mine. i bought it new but from an individual. the needle is off almost 2 psi

try knocking it against something. sounds stuck. But yes, something is wrong.

all my greddy gauges show 0 when the car is off etc.

you sure your wired it up right? id have to imagine if you got the signal wires backwrads teh gauge would work backwards

is it just sitting or is it wired up? the gauge needs an elctrical current for it to zero itself

it should have had electrical current the last time it was powered up, so it should still read 0. But my greddy gauges have a spring return anyways I think.

well, my autometer egt gauge wasnt at zero when i got it, hooked up the power t it and it set itself at 0. ive also found the bulb inside the thnig runs at about 200-150 degrees, so im trying to find an led for it

Alright well I have a greddy electronic boost gauge and it read 0 when new, and reads 0 when the car is off.

it should read 0 when the car is off and such, but when you handle the gauge and its gets bumped, the needle moves if no power is applied

If he was able to get it to lock the needle at the max position (should be about 2bar of boost) by shaking it, I'm impressed hehe. Oh well.
