Default efficiency rate on a turbo, anyone?

wondering which of these turbos, t3/t04e 57 trim 63ar or a t3/t04e 54 trim 63 a/r, would run at the best efficiency rate on my h22a, anyone?

This depends on boost level... but the 57 is gonna be a dog to spool ...

15-20 psi? Good lord.

I hope thats quite a build up your planning, thats alot of power with an H22 if you build it right.

Say HondaSport,

If that is an H22 do you know what all the guy has done to his valvetrain?

wondering which of these turbos, t3/t04e 57 trim 63ar or a t3/t04e 54 trim 63 a/r, would run at the best efficiency rate on my h22a, anyone?
And to Answer the original question...

Markaccord95,

whenever I'm figuring this stuff out with a pencil and paper, I go to this website that I use to check how accurate my figure are. This is a cut and paste from one of my threads on http://www.preludeonline.com

I quote BlueShadow,

I pencil-whipped the numbers and I also used this calculator on http://www.turbofast.com.au/turbomap.html to double check my work.

at the bottom I used these numbers for an H22:
BORE = 3.48
STROKE = 3.62
NUMBER CYLINDERS = 4
AIR TEMP = 95
intercooler eff = 95

for the calculator I used these numbers from top to bottom.
RPM = 7400, 5550, 5000, 4000, 3700
BOOST = 8 PSI all
VE = 95 (%) for 7400,5550, RPM, 80 (%) for 4000, 3700 RPM
COMPRESSOR EFFICIENCY = 75 (%)

I used these numbers first to see if the blips would fall within the highest % comp efficiency and out of the surge limit and they ALL did.

EDIT I changed some numbers.

ok, i plugged in your data, and i know that the 60 trim
is out of question, two points hit surge limit
but wrt the other trims, how would u select
one vs the other..??

well, i never got into understanding boost maps yet, according to their calculations, which shows more efficiency, the 54 or 57 trim?
