I was wondering which turbo would suite me better(turbonetics T4 or T3/T04E), they are both rated to around 550hp and I'm not sure which will perform better for my horsepower goal of 350-400hp in a Ls/vtec? What's the spooling difference, and is there really any difference between the two turbos?

T4 gonna be too big for your goal. Theresno need for unnecessary lag of a T4, if all you want is 400hp, T3/T4 is perfect for the job.

thanks, I figured that the T3/T04E was the right turbo, but what's the difference between the T4 and T3/T04E?

A straight T4 is gonna have a lot of lag and the power band is gonna be up top end. You'd make alot more power than a t3/t4 but much later. Not much fun if the car is gonna be street driven...

Go with a t3/t04e with a .60 ar comp and .63 ar t3 turbine. A 60-1 would be also fine to run.

get a gt35e easy to make the hp level you want now and plenty of room later when you get bored of that hp level
