Eagle rod bolt upgrade...is machining really necessary for the new bolts?

Eagle rod bolt upgrade...is machining really necessary for the new bolts?
So i'm lookin through the ARP website (www.arp-fasteners.com), trying to educate myself on the world of fasteners and whether or not i need to upgrade the bolts on my Eagle rods, then i notice the specs on the ARP Custom Age 625+. According to the site, model no.300-6708 has the same exact specs(in terms of sizing) as the ARP 2000 1.5 that come stock with the Eagles...if this is the case, then why are people saying that machining is necessary when upgrading to these particular bolts? someone please educate me!

The bolt fits in the hole from what I understand(if you look at the bolts that come with the Eagles, its fat than narrows at the center,than widens out again at the thread), its because the upgraded bolts require more torque. and it throws off
the bore alignment of the rod, I think??

Like I said the difference is in the center of the bolt, the upgraded bolts do not get skinnier.
