Default e-cutout

Can anything bad happen mechanically w/ running a turbo car hard on too small of an exhaust? (i.e. stock piping) Plan to use an e-cutout but was curious if anything bad happens from running car hard through stock piping also.

Only negative affects are slower spool time and you could possibly melt the cat from the excessive heat. I am selling a brand new 2.5" inch QTP performance cutout on eBay, but I could end the auction early if you want it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

i dont really see a huge problem..besides power loss. you could essentially be creating a **** load of backpressure with an improperly sized exhaust with a larger turbo.
if you need somethign bigger...ill have my 2.5 custom for sale in about a month or so

e-cutouts
the smell from it

This is what will happen:
---------------------------------------------
You either suck it up and get used to it (the diesel-truck like sound, spool noise) and smell of course

OR

You wont last in a week and you're going to go with a full exhaust setup.
---------------------------------------------

I'm used to the smell. Daily driven car--mostly open cutout. I just think I'm going to die early.

Oh...And my girlfriend always points out how I smell like boost all the time.

i don't mean to be a dick but I heard these things break a lot. Have they fixed that problem? I've heard of people having to weld the motors on so they don't fly off randomly. Have they fixed the problem with these? Cause I sold a 3" a long time ago and am looking for a 2.5". Just been running open downpipe for the time being(2yrs) and probably don't plan on quiting untill my health starts to fade.
