Default stock exhaust.....

Is it bad to run my car with a stock exhaust??...i have a drag 3 turbo kit....Is too much back pressure bad for my engine in some ways??....I have a CUT OUT y-pipe for my exhaust when i want to run but i close it up when i just drive around town....

Come on guys no one has any info...i know the stock exhaust gives me less power, but does it have any side affects and cause problems for my turbo or engine??

I don't see that it would cause any problems, except less power. Pretty slick to have that and the cut-out, though. I was thinking about doing that, but I've just got a Borla Turbo and re-did the piping, so it's not much louder than stock, looks stock, but sure flows better.

Yea i thought so too just wanted to make sure....I'm going to be using a type-r axle back with 2.5 inch piping all the way to my cat...this is to make sure no problems arise....

You'll just be slow...very slow and spool very late.

but increasing ur piping diameter will lower egt's

Can anyone else confirm this???

I want to use a type r exhaust on my turbo setup for a bit because lack of funds, but I'm not looking forward to higher egt because of it.
