dynoed ls turbo 10.5 psi 225hp, is that right?????
ok, i had my car dynoed today at the car show, $20 for two pulls with wideband, not bad. anyways i tried to scan the sheet and post it, but i cant figure it out, so heres the numbers
the 1st run they did in 3rd gear and the car started to burn out on the dyno, so half the graph was missing, but it came to 225.5hp 200lbs torque
now the second run they ran it in 4th gear the numbers on this pull were 223.5hp and 207.2 torque
the air fuel ratio from 3k to 4k ranged from 14.5 down to 12.5
and then 4k and up the air fuel was 12.4-12.6
heres the setup,
96 ls stock motor, less than 8% leakage in every cylinder
drag 3 kit with xs engineering skyline intercooler 28"x11"x3"
t3t4 60 trim 63ar compressor 45ar turbine
10.5psi
full 3 inch exhaust, no cat
timing retarded 3 degrees
afc hack 450cc dsm injectors
fuel pressure at 58psi
i just think that the horsepower is a little on the low side, i was expecting atleast 250hp. i know many people with the same setup pushing around 250
I dont know, any thoughts??

Does that fuel pressure seem a bit high to anyone else? I thought setups like the hack ran on stock fuel pressure.

yeah thats my guess too... I think your fuel pressure is too high. you dont really need a fpr... you just need fuel pump, injectors, and 450's turn yo pressure down and see what hapenes.

no way, its still running a little lean the way it is right now. 12.5:1 air fuel if anything i need to richen it up a little more. on a turbo motor u need to tune between 11:1-12:1

this can be true. i.e. lets say u have 100psi fuel pressure, but on an afc there is zero correction, well if you run at stock fuel pressure and zero correction you are gunna be using the same amount of fuel. leave ur FPR at stock or 5 over maybe, and start messing around with the fuel curves, not too shabby of a dyno...good luck in the future!

Re: (MikeMAN)
250 for a stock ls would take a good mani better fuel and a standalone system tuned but for what you have you should be very happy look at your tourqe it is up there and that is very good

For a stock engine, 12.5:1 is kinda lean.

I agree. boosted cars like rich conditions.

ooooo I'd love to hear the detonation with the microphone clip hooked up to your frost plug or whatever. Richen it up dude, at least 12:1 or 11.5:1 with stock timing.
I have a similar setup running hondata. Made 235whp & 214lb/ft @ 10.5psi.

yes, i could do that, but i am running an afc hack and if i richen it up anymore on the afc it will throw a check engine light, map sensor code

AFC hack at the MAP limit tends to run cars very very rich. If you're pinging, it's probably timing related.

no, its not knocking or pinging, or anything, i was just trying to explain why my fuel pressure is at 58psi
