Default dyno question **UPDATED*

I have a 95 gsr w/ PnP head, skunk2 valves, springs, retainers, jg 65mm tb, port matched IM, comectic high boost head gasket, arp head studs, t3/t04E .57 trim .63 A/R. 2.5'' DP, 3'' exhaust, no cats, log mani, tial wg, gredy type-s bov.

On 10 psi i man 254hp/205tq is that about right. He said it was tuned conservitavly and it started to have a leaking head gasket(when i had the stock hg, the comectic is now brand new and hasnt seen the dnyo yet).

Should I expect a little better numbers or should i up the boost a couple psi( btw its a stock gsr block)?

Thanks

Kinda low. Typical 10psi GSR will see 280whp +/-, guess it was tuned ultra-conservativley.

FWIW, stock IM, 2.3" exahust and I made 244 or 246 @6psi on Hondata, conservativley tuned by SFP.

That seems low. My friend had the same setup but only 2.5 exhaust and made 250 something at only 5.5 psi on a totally stock gsr with hondata s200

why all the $ in the head and not in the block where you really need it?

I agree.. It would suck for you to break a rod and damage that head with all that work done to it..

But thanks for the imput guys, I'll give you a update tomorrow

i agree it does seem kinda low... especially with the head job. i tuned a stock 2000 gsr, drag kit, 550s and Uber. street tune base run was 253WHP 198TQ... we left it at 271WHP, 200TQ because my buddy wanted a conservative tune. 20.5 total timing @10psi... i dunno... it was my first time tuning on a dyno... he was happy though. i'm sure you'll see better numbers and still be safe.

243 @ 8 psi would be low for a stock GSR, and especially one that has a fully ported head. A very low AFR and tons of timing pulled out can be just as bad as running too lean with too much timing, so make sure he isn't going "too conservative". You could wash down the cylinder walls with fuel, and all the timing he pulled could cause skyrocketing EGT's which isn't good for anything.

I would switch to the MLS gasket, alot of people dislike the HP.
