B20b w/ GSR Head 57 Trim Turbo- Hondata S300 - Pump Gas Tune
Tim brought us his Built Integra for a Tune on Hondata S300. After a few quick fixes on the oil lines and rerouting the vacuum lines, Tim's car made it to the dyno.
Here is the setup:
GSR head
Built B20b Bottom End, presumably low compression.
Block Guard
Bosch 1000cc Injectors
Synapse Turbo Kit
Tial 48mm Wastegate
57 trim Garrett Turbo
3" Open Downpipe
Tuned on Hondata S300
This is the Dyno chart for wastegate pressure. The spring was 14psi but it actually fluctuated between 14.8-15.3psi. There were some boost controller issues on the dyno, and Tim will be getting those sorted out, and then it's back to the dyno.

To stay consistent with previous cars, the following are the 3rd gear pulls. One with a smoothing of 3 (what we mainly use for tuning) and the other with a smoothing of 5 (industry standard for posting).
Turns out the block is not sleeved but has a block guard. We expect him back in a couple of months and will be shooting for 450-500 on pump gas or E85. Should be fun.

Nice, you seem to have alot more confidence in the B20 block than you should.... 500hp on pump g/l with that I hope the owner has a new motor ready.

^ LOL. Valid concern. I'm pretty sure he'll end up going with E85. 450-500 on E85 is less stressful on the motor than 450-500 on pump gas. Plus E85 is very accessible in our area.

Cylinder pressure is cylinder pressure, I dont think it cares if you are using gasoline or ethanol. Either way G/L with it...

Thanks for you input. Cylinder is Pressue is Cylinder Pressue. No other way around that.
However, with E85, more power can be made on less boost as I’m sure you are aware of. Not only that but the slower burning nature of E85 is safer on the motor. E85 burns almost like a candle vs the almost instant “bang” of pump gas. The flame front on E85 travels so slow (in comparison to pump gas) that it actually travels with the piston on the way down for a more controlled burning and consistent cylinder pressures vs the hard spikes of cylinder pressure encountered when pump gas is ignited. This type of burn also helps increase torque. In addition, E85 lowers IAT’s and lowers EGT for better performance and durability. It’s also less prone to pre-detonation (105 octane) as you are also probably aware of, all of which brings us back to the point that 450-500 whp on pump is gas, is not the same as 450-500 on E85.

that's bad ***, most power on a stock sleeve b20 i've seen I think. makes me feel better about spraying a little 50 shot on my 220whp all motor setup.
