Ed knows his $HiT. If he runs into a problem, he will find a way around it. Takes what he is doing very seriously b/c it reflects back on him. He knows honda and hondata very well. Are you going to Dynolab? Talk to Art if you do. He can weld upside down....lol.

I guess you would have more restrictions with the Hack instead of using Hondata. Have you had any problems yet?

Yeah, I figured if I ever total my car, I am putting my setup in your kind of car (88-91 CRX HF gutted out to make it REALLY light, of course).

Yeah, I bought my kit from Charles (hondadriven). It was the best deal I could find. Now it is even lower (after I buy mine, of course)!!!! He also has the best deal on other stuff, especially rod/piston combo.

This would be a good post for those guys that ask, "what can a stock B16 handle". Then you point them to this thread and say, "apparently over 300HP at the crank."

Wow, this makes me feel more confident about slaping a turbo on my car. Good numbers on a stock block.

The AEM EMS is a new product that is still being learned by tuners. Also, people do make mistakes, but Ed is one of those people that hates making them. Man, at the dyno he was so pissed that he forgot his heat sink and stuff to do the wiring on my injectors. That shows he prides himself in his work. I can make claims all day long, but one thing years of education has tought me is to always support your claims in order to establish crediblity. In other words, people are more likely to believe you if you explain and give facts relating to your claim. Could you do that for us because I am very curious?

Well, if its still being learned cause its so "new" y da hell did he say he could do it then pretty easily. He told me it would probably take around 2hours. To make it short, it took way more and still wasnt done.

Cliff notes: took 1.5hours to install 3bar ($130!), tuned for about an hour-hour an half; this was just partial throttle btw. . Total that day = $270. Couple days later i came in, i told him i didnt want to tune more than 2 hours ($300 max). I leave spending $350 and only tuned at 9psi making 257whp 174tor. I didnt even get to tune for high boost. That would've cost another 200-300. Thats already almost $800-900.

On the other hand, i could've driven about 8 hours down to florida and had vaportrail tune it for a lot less headaches and money.

So theres the story, just cause your happy with his tune doesnt mean that he's such a great tuner. Yes they do make their mistakes, and i guess i was the one that got fucked.

That sux. Well, if it makes ya feel any better, I left there without the $700 that I brought. Of course, I had a lot more stuff to do and bought some stuff from him. Ed is mostly a Hondata guy from what I gather. He definately knew what he was doing with mine. We spent about 1.5hours of total tuning. I have heard a lot of good thing about Vaportrail. Sorry that happened, bud. Good luck to ya in the future!
