how important is it to port match head/block
Ive got my 83mm Darton sleeves which i am going to be putting in my b16, however im wondering....
what are the possible side effects if i do not increase my head chambers to 83mm?
-will this cause hot-spots
-detonation?
can i get away without doing it? i know its the proper way, however money is tight, this is a corner im wondering if i can get around.

I agree that if you don't intend on doing any headwork or have already had it done, then dont bother. But if you have intentions on doing headwork then go for it.
good info........im not so sure i plan on doing head work, maybe just a set of GSR cams, but no valvetrain upgrades really....mostly just bottom end work
anyone else comment on this? at this point, im not totally convinced that the 2mm overlap is not going to cause problems. can anyone provide good evidence as to how this wont harm my engine? its not that i dont trust you guys, id just like to increase my knowledge thats all
