dyno last night
So we finally got the Civic on a dyno. As i figured the car was running extremely lean. My friend took it to the shop instead of having me work on it which was fine They yanked the blue box and put a V-AFC, 10:1 FMU, Black box they sell to dupe the MAP sensor and a stock FPR. At first they couldnt richen it up past 5k rpm and couldnt figure out what it was. Tried an inline pump (already has a 255 lph walbro) and tried shooting the pressure up. Turns out it was the AEM adj. FPR that we put on long long ago. They pulled that off and put a b18c1 rail on it with a stock FPR. Took care of all the problems. The car was only tuned with the V-AFC and here is what it made.
Cybernation are good guys but hopefully we will be adding an FJO to the mix so i can tune it myself in the future.

Re: dyno last night (5speedv6)
I also gotta add...this car needs a bigger exhaust and downpipe. Its running the greddy kit with a DC Sports exhaust thats been on since the beginning. I think thats the reason for the hp stopping at 260 and the fairly high torque for a b16. It appears to be running out of breath up top. Although my friend loves it like it is, its very quiet and stealthy.

Re: dyno last night (Hammett)
Do you know why it stopped making power at 5600rpm? Shouldn't you be making power all the way to 7800rpm? Your air fuel looks good all the way to redline. Nice numbers though. Love that torque.

Re: dyno last night (Arturbo)
Its in STD and not SAE. But your #'s still look good.
This run was really just to get the fuel right. I feel good about the car since its so basic right now. So much more to go. We definetly need to figure out why it cant hold 12 psi solid.

12 psi? Are you pushing the limits of the 18G with an internal WG?
Nice numbers tho, whats the difference between SAE and this?

Re: dyno last night (falconGSR)
have you shortened the actuator arm? are you using any other form of boost control?

Re: dyno last night (SiRkid)
The cars motor isnt stock. It has a .020 overbore, endyn pistons (they are supposed to be 9:1 but i havent CC'd the motor), eagle rods and everything else is stock (head, cams, gears).

hello, nice graph, but your vtec is not coming on.

Re: dyno last night (5speedv6)
shortening the arm will raise the seat pressure on the wastegate flapper and get the wastegate actuator closer to your target boost level, and probly give the profec an easier time of regulating to your target boost level.

SAE corrects the numbers for elevation, temp, barometric pressure, humidity etc etc. I guess you could say it takes the weather out of the equation and standardizes the tests.

Re: dyno last night (5speedv6)
done it many times just to see how the low cams act with boost ... looks just like that, put +12v on the solenoid when running and notice the difference, your hp will go up to 330hp.

Re: dyno last night (5speedv6)
Pretty good numbers. Looks like Vtec is just fine... What do you have it set at? It looks like at about 5200 HP slope changes drastically... torque peaks then drops off, while power is steady all the way to redline. Am I the only one who sees that the HP is the one thats steady and the torque is the one falling off?
BTW nice torque...numbers looks like an SR20DET with cams
