Default How does my fuel setup look for a future dyno tune?

In about a month, I'll be removing my blue box for a VAFC and getting the engine dyno tuned. I'm curious whether I should run injectors or not. I've been told on another board that I should; the guy who owns the shop I'll be getting tuned at says no (dyno mechanic wasn't available). So I'll ask you guys ... the experts.

Here would be the fuel setup:

<u>'97 D16Y8</u>
GReddy SOHC turbo kit at 5 psi (7 psi would be the max it'll see)
A'PEXi VAFC
12:1 FMU
Walbro 255 lph high-pressure fuel pump
missing link check valve

So should I run injectors? Maybe like 310 cc? Or will I my stock ones be fine? Because i'll only be at 5 psi, which is pretty low.

Thanks.

oh, and the tuning will be done w/ a wideband O2.

Why are you going to be using VAFC and an FMU? If it will only be seeing 7psi you should be fine with the FMU setup.

i know i could just ditch the FCU and run a FMU/missing link, but i want to add in the VAFC for fine-tuning. I could also go AEM EMS but my wallet wouldn't be happy, and I'm getting a pretty good deal on everything I've mentioned.

So ... do I need injectors with the aforementioned setup? Again, I was told 310 cc and also told that they won't be necessary. Any input? Another guy said -- when I did a H-T search -- that he ran the VAFC/FMU/255 fuel pump/440 injectors but he was also at 10 psi on his SOHC. i'll only be at 5 and probably for awhile.

If you are gonna spend the money on the VAFC, get injectors like 440cc injectors. If not, then stay with the fmu.

Hmmm, or maybe I'll just get an adjustable FPR and have them dyno tune it with that and the blue box to just get the car running a little smoother. I dunno. ****, too many things to think about.

FMU vs VAFC and 440/450cc = NIGHT AND DAY,ditch the fmu...just get some injectors and the VAFC...that's why everyone is running VAFC hack...once you go...you never go back to the fmu. transition to boost..is soo smooth.
