Opinions on running the full blown with dual wally 255s and a Bosch 044 inline... Think its over kill? I want the extra piece of mind incase a sally takes a **** under high boost .. spoke to Allan over at dp and he wanted me to ditch the full blown and run a 255 with an 044 inline and i said why not just run the full blown and add an 044 to the mix

Or why not a stealth 340 and 044 or walbro 400 and the 044 they both are developed with newer technology than the 255...this isn't a supra theres no need to over complicate things with 3 pumps..if you need that much pump get bigger injectors.what's your power goals

*edit* your worried more about reliability than flow.theres no question regarding the Bosch proven reliability...simple ditch the 255s if your that concerned about it, have not seen any failures with the 340s to date..the walbro 400lph havent been around as long. I have one that I plan to put to the test.

Theres also lean protection available with most modern day engine management systems.

Thanks but the reason I don't wanna ditch the dual wallys is because how big of a bitch it was to put in n now with the 10point its gonna be a nightmare ... I have id1000s now ... Does s300 have lean protection?

If I did the stealth 340 and an 044 wouldn't I need a surge tank between them? And how would i put fittings on my stock pump hanger? Or do they make an aftermarket pump hanger?

Just do one 400lph pump with at least a -8 feed and -6 return and you should be good for about 700-800hp on race gas. Unless you're gonna try to make more power than that, there would be no need for 2 pumps. And if you are trying to make more than that, run the Full Blown setup with two 255's. Don't worry about an inline pump with dual Walbros. Parallel pumps setups work better than inline pumps setups, this is proven. Also, dual 255's have been proven to make more than 900hp. Anymore power than that, run the Full Blown with dual 340's or sump your tank and run dual 044's. Since you already have the hanger, I'd say run dual 255's.

My tuner is worried well have problems with the full blown setup either having a pump fail or problems makin power with it in the first place he said hes had nothing but bad luck with the full blown with dual wallys

As long as the hose isn't fully pinched when installed then you'll be fine. That's the only problem known with the Full Blown kit. As far as pumps failing, as long as you have fuel in the tank then they shouldn't fail. Walbros do not like being dry, they'll overheat and burn out. I'd say run the tank down to no less than a 1/4 tank. Any less than that then you might risk the pumps burning out.
