drag 3 is installed!!!!
well i got everything installed and i am picking my car up tomorrow. i dropped it off at a auto shop to have a new exhaust put in.
here is a question though. i have driven it twice and have hit boost once to test it. (i want a new exhaust before i really start to test it. ) well anyways when i open my hood there is a small wisp of white smoke coming from around the manifold. i can't specifically locate the source and my question is....is this just breaking in the turbo as it's burning off stuff or should i just check all my oil lines going in and out of the turbo.
thanks guys for everyhting.

Id guess its just dirt/oil burning off the motor/manifold/turbo since your hands were dirty when installing it. Happens to me whenever I instal something

With a turbo, you are boosting when the turbo spools up... normally around 3k rpm, but it varies.
Supercharges are boosting all the time.
And nitrous involves the pushing of a button... in most setups.

Yes, and it helps keep the thermal energy in your exhaust gas flow, but doesn't it shorten the life of the manifold due to the increased heat in the metal?

That heat wrap tape stuff will shorten the life of a manifold because it's on the outside of the manifold. The heat will go into the manifold and be kept in by the tape.
is that jetcoating thing posted a while ago a ceramic coat also or is it different?
I forgot who had it done, but it was to a ITR header if i remember correctly.
Also, coating and retaining heat pre-turbine is a very good thing...more energy going in and not escaping. Thus if things go right, and the exhaust is cool, lots of energy tranferred to work on the shaft spinning the compessor. .Efficiency is a good thing.
