Default smoke on start up after install ?!?

hey guys, i know new turbo and manifold suppose to smoke after they been installed. However i have a used 15g turbo that didn't have any shaft play, and a new HKS manifold. When i finally got my car to start and idle, it smoked and smoke and smoked more. When it got worst it has been about 2-5 mins already and I just didn't know if it was normal. The smoke was white/gray coming off the manifold and below the manifold where the turbo connects. Is this normal? or what could be wrong?

when you first install a turbo kit, i believe its just burning a bit of oil on your newly installed parts, happened to me too

check your oil return line, make sure its big enough to let the oil out and there is not a kink in the line. Also try a needle valve(i need one of these) to lower the ammount of oil pressure to your turbo. It could be oil going through you turbo seals.

Just some opinions.

I'm afriad that since the turbo was used it might be bad seals. Is there a way to check if the seals are blown?
It might also just be my dp isn't on tight because it don't exactly fit right, so smoke might be coming up from there too but its hard as hell to see

hey guys, just can back from driving my car around a few blocks. I didn't go into boost. The car is super loud, i guess cause the dp poped off of the cat, since my dp don't fit all the way to the cat. it sounds like one of those old hot rods does an open dp make it sound like that?
But the car is still smoking, however not as much. I think i can see the somke coming from where the turbo meets the greddy dp elbow. Should i still be worried that i might have a bad turbo seals?

hey i took off my chage pipes, and i didn't notice oil in them, but i did notice a little oil around the turbo outlet, but none on my silicone couplers. Is the oil around there also normal?
