Downpipe wont come off!!!!!!
I have a 5 bolt downpipe flange and 3 bolts wont budge! 2 are crooked it looks like and 1 looks straight in but still wont budge. They are all the way in too!
How can I get these off? They are already starting to strip and its so hard to get into the area.
I need to get these off before I change my headgasket and fix a lot of other overheating problems.
Thanks for the time.

That blows dude. All i can say is a lot and a lot and then some more WD-40 or something to that sort. That always works on the manifold bolt and such.

Re: Downpipe wont come off!!!!!! (TegTuner)
If you don't have enough room to manuever wiht the turbo/manifold on the car, then take the turbo/manifold/dp off in one piece. You should eb able to get a better angle on those dp bolts with the whole assembly off the car. When you put it back on, you might want to consider using studs for the dp. I used my old intake manifold studs that got replaced when i put my Hondata gasket on, and the work prerfectly for the turbine/dp connection.

Hmmm... maybe this this will work... pull the fans and radiator out, then disconnect the oil lines and air filter. Then hopefully you can just unbolt the mani, turbo and downpipe as a unit and just pull them off the head. This way you don't even have to hassle w/ the stupid dp bolts...
