Default Downpipe un-install....

Ok so im taking off my downpipe cause i gotta remove the exhaust manifold and all that jazz for my headgasket change this weekend...

the downpipe is the stock DRAG DP.

if you're looking at hte downpipe from say the driver side tire, the top right bolt on the 5 bolt flange (the one totally buried beneath the manifold). I cant remember for the LIFE of me how i got this thing on there? i was trying to get it off today with no luck...i installed it 3 years ago and now i cant figure it out?!

easier from the top? from underneath? anyone lol...

Try a universal joint or two.

it wont fit from the bottom you have to take those 5 bolts off, spray some pb blaster on them and they'll come off.

I have to get at that bolt from underneath...

I also have to use an open ended combination wrench because there's no way in hell I can get a socket in there...

If I aproach it from underneath with an open ended wrench it's no problem...

BTW, 3 years and you haven't had the DP off since the install? LoL... you lucky sucker, I've been boosted for 4 months and had it off about 4 times already

Underneath the car, open ended wrench is how I used to tackle it. That bolt SUCKS.

NOt a drag or 5 bolt flange, but I had to go buy a short / skinny cheap *** wrench to get on there, my craftsman wouldn't fit.

Next downpipe will definitely be VBand
