Default What in the hell is goin on here! manifold bolt backin out...

got a rev hard mani on my h23 prelude. the drivers side lower bolt keeps backing out.. its just that one. it leaks and makes a nasty sound at idle.. once it warms up its fine.. can i use locktight on that? no boost leak though..

loctite probably won't hold due to the heat, I'd try using a lock washer and see if that helps.

loctitie blue will hold the heat no prob. I used it on the turbo flange nuts and studs, downpipe studs and bolts, and everything works perfectly. Your fine with loctite. I would used "blue" cause its is supposed to be serviceable in the future. As in, you can remove those bolts with air tools. loctitie red isnt so friendly

Loctite will not hold up to the heat in the manifold. You can put it on and it won't hurt anything, it just doesn't work properly. Use a lockwasher if you're having problems.

Thermal expansion and vibration makes them back out sometimes. I have seen it happen on a warped manifold flange as well.

I have seen it happen on a warped manifold flange as well.
I would bet on this one.
