you can use that as a boost reference for your wastegate.

you can plug it up and just use the intake manifold source.

How bout using that hole instead? Wouldn't the readings be a little more accurate since it's coming right from the compressor? Straight line to the WG.

Actually, boost measured from the manifold will take into account the pressure drop due to the intercooler, which should mean your wastegate can stay closed a little bit longer. There is a benefit to reading boost off the compressor as well but I forget.

you will notice a diffrence between locations i did. felt like a quicker spool and i ended up boosting more. (because of ic pressure drop)

Correct.. Read boost at manafold, but control boost at the compressor.. When your turbo begins to soar up in revs, you want your gate to open as quickly as possable..

DO NOT leave this port open!! You will bleed boost and posably over rev your turbo.

The teflon tape on your oil fitting will burn up, and can make it's way into your bearing.. You have to get it out of there..

See ya,
-Jason
