Difference Between Closed and Open Loop??????
Do you gain that much power on the open loop design?? I will be going with an Fmax kit and just wondering which I should do?
This may be a newbie question, but I wasn't sure about it so it doesn't hurt to ask.

Sonny, that's some good reading, but I think he meant closed or open loop wastegate

open loop scares people off the road and on the sidewalks when you boost at high rpms. i luv it!

I think the "improper" closed loop setup, like mine (FMAX-style) has one good thing about it. It is very quiet, which adds to the sleeper style. I thought the shop was going to do mine open because they could not route the pipe properly to the lower part of the DP. Well, I guess they thought I was terribly concerned about the noise so they routed it into the DP about 6" from the turbine! I know, a power-nabber but I think after hearing how quiet it is I am cool with it.
