Default detonation around 5500rpm

maybe someone has some insight on this. at 10psi my car detonates at about 5500 rpm. if i run lower boost, say 5-6 it runs fine. i have the drag gen3 kit on d16y8 motor. stock internals 12:1 fmu, inline pump, stock injectors, msd 6btm ignition(set on 0). the two middle plugs were white (cylinders 2 and 3 i think), and the two on the outside were brown. i have been running 10 psi for about 4 months now with no problems. this just started the other day. do you guys think i blew out the injectors with too much fuel pressure in those two cylinders and they are leaning out causing detonation? i know that is like 120+ fuel psi which is not good. i think this is most likely the problem, but i thought i would ask anyway. do you guys think the timing could be off? i posted this in the tech forum and the only answer i got was "bad gas". i have run 2 tanks of gas through it since them and i still have the same problem. thanks in advance

what is your base timeing if it is stock it should be no less then .5 deg and check you vacume lines to the fmu if that is how you are running it and stock injectors are no good with that much boost becouse it is more like 160 psi of fuel pressure at 10 psi

that is just my .02 cents hopefully it will help

yeah i'm thinkin i screwed the injectors. i know the vacuum lines are hooked up b/c the fuel pressure guage pegs out at 100psi. i'm not sure timing is, but i know it is not stock. well thanks for the help

maybe you should consider putting the BTM part of the 6btm to use. try retarding the timing in boost a lil bit...just a thought.

sorry i took so long to get back. anyway, when i first installed my turbo i tried adjusting the btm and it detonated really bad. the motor is making the exact same noise now as it was when i tried using the btm, that is why i was thinking maybe the timing was off. with college and work i haven't had time to go to my mechanic. i have just been running low boost for now. i guess i will have to make time to go see him
