Default darton sleeve leak fix

Ive just bought a darton sleeved gsr block with a leak into the oil pan. Apparently the o ring in one of the cylinders has failed. thats what the shop said that had it last. Is there a replacement o ring kit? Do you use the new epoxy sealer they offer? Also, if the o rings can be replaced, can any machine shop replace them or should i send it back to darton? Where can i find these o rings if they can be bought. Is there any other method to remove this leak that anyone has had success with? thanks for the help

I'm not sure about darton sleeves, but if its anything like golden eagle you can tap the o-ring in by yourself. I know golden eagle sells the copper material. Here is a link to the golden eagle type, hopefully it helps, if its not the same disregard.

i think he is referring to the o-ring seals at the bottom of the sleeves on the darton MID kit.

it's not a simple "pop in the new seal" and your done. it's a big job to replace those seals and will require a total new bore/hone/machine/re-assembly and leak/pressure check to make sure it's all good.

take it to an authorized darton sleeve install machine shop and have them check it out for you.

Whattzzzz Up Whatkind of leak , oil , air , water ? First of all find out why the ring popped out . There may be other problems below the surface. Maybe the sleeve,s are floating or engine was over heated and disformed.
