Default DART blocks are they legal at any event??

I was planning on getting a Dart block. But I do not know if it will be legal at any of the events I will be going to. Does anyone else know any info on them?

You can acutally take a block to NHRA to get it approved, or so Ive been told by tom payne. Or maybe I misunderstood like I always do.

I dont think so because its not a production honda peice. Its the reason you can't put like a diamond star motor in a honda.

Ok, if your doing bracket racing or anything else in that manner then ur fine. They wont check at all and wont give what you have. If you try to run in the Hot rod class or all motor or something like that forget about it. Not a chance they will be now, it could in the future. Tom said it could be legal in NHRA after the officials of the NHRA look at it but thas been said for a long time and I doubt it will be and if it did you still wont be able to run in the IDRC or NDRA, so u will be running striclty NHRA. Plus i spoke with Tom and siad pricing will probably start around 2495 not the 2000 they were targeting for. Not worth it if you ask me.

I know in IDRC they have to be a production peice for sure which means 500 of them have to be sold. Honestly I didnt like the peice that much. It has a very rough finish although I comend them for making them.

I think id wait and see about that. NHRA is always changing rules without warning. Also the fact still is it would only be legal for nhra and not the other sanctions.

Trying to think if I should send my block out today to Golden eagle for sleeving. Which will happen most likely if I cannot use the dart block.

This is IMstar's Street Renegade rule for engine:

Engine: Four cylinder and six cylinder engines only (six cylinder cars must be FWD only). Any motor swaps are allowed, except as noted. Cars originally equipped with four cylinder engines may be swapped for any four cylinder engines or two-valve six cylinder engines only. FWD Cars originally equipped with six cylinder engines can be swapped for any six cylinder engine. Engine used must be from the same manufacturer as car (Hondas can use Acura motors). No air-cooled four-cylinder engines.

I would stick with gE sleeved block no body is blowing up blocks anymore... the blocks are solid after they are sleeved.

Yeah I just imed you or pmed you block is on the way to you right now. What's the turn around period. In your opinion can you send me a pm about what you think of the deck plating of GE. Wouldn't you have to get new crank aftermarket rods. I am interested if you know more info about it please let me know. But by the way block is leaving today to your shop.

So now thats 2 purchases from me.
